Discovery Vitality Orlando Race Results | Durban July Raffle Tickets

Sadly, we start today’s email with condolences and sympathies to two of our members, namely, Belinda Bertillon and Prashant Natarajan and their families on the loss of their mothers. Sending love and strength to both members and their families.
The Discovery Vitality Johannesburg series kicked off this past weekend on Saturday 21 June with the Orlando race. Great running and walking took place with some lovely PBs.
Well done to our Walkers who walked PBs in the 10km:

Mandy Braun – 1:20:17
Rob Harker – 1:22:22
Vera Figueira – 1:36:03
Vicky Mason – 1:36:05
In the 21km well done to Mac Braun and Daniel Van Der Vyver on their PB’s, finishing in 2:09:12 and 2:09:16, respectively.

Durban July Raffle Tickets
The Main Club is holding a Durban July draw to which all sections benefit as well as you the ticket seller. How does this work?
STAND A CHANCE OF WINNING R10,000 IF YOU DRAW THE WINNING HORSE.
Drawing of the Horses
- Each ticket sold goes into a draw.
- The draw will take place on Friday 4th July in the Main Bar at 18h00.
- 18 names will be drawn, with each name allocated a horse running in the Durban July.
- Should your name be drawn and your horse wins you win R10,000.
Prize Money
- 1st Place – R10,000
- 2nd Place – R2,000
- 3rd Place – R1,000
Selling of Raffle Tickets
- A booklet consists of 5 x R20 tickets therefore R100 per booklet
- Each booklet you sell your name goes into a draw whereby you could win R2,000
Benefit to Athletics Section
A percentage of all sales made by the Athletics Section will go back to the section.
Annual Awards Evening
Saturday 26th July at the Royal Johannesburg Kensington Golf Club in Linksfield. See attached invitation for all the details.

The Athletics Section AGM, is being held on Wednesday 30th July in the BH Room. Further details will be sent out within the next two weeks.
